Ignitions on the Bighorn Sheep Prescribed Burn are taking place following a successful test fire. If conditions allow, burning is expected to continue tomorrow. Smoke will be visible from Poudre Canyon.
The test fire was successful and ignitions are continuing on the Bighorn Sheep Prescribed Burn in the Poudre Canyon. Firefighters are targeting approximately 100 acres today as some areas within the burn are still too wet. Smoke will be visible throughout the day and evening in the area.
From Reghan Cloudman —- Due to high fuel moisture, the Bighorn Sheep Prescribed Burn will not take place today. Firefighters are hoping to begin ignitions Monday and/or Tuesday this week if conditions allow.
