Helping Each Other Rebuild and Heal

Recovering from a disaster can take months, and sometimes even years. This is where the North 40 Mountain Alliance really shines. We offer a local community driven network of resources and people who can help each other rebuild and heal from a disaster. Studies show that communities who work together to effectively prepare for natural disasters rebound more quickly and thoroughly.

The North 40 Mountain Alliance strives to bring the community together to build resilience. Working together to prepare before, assist during, and rebuild after disasters will make us stronger and more independent as a community. Join the North 40 Mountain Alliance to become a part of a stronger and more resilient community.

How We Help You

Before a disaster occurs the North 40 Mountain Alliance will have gathered information from members who have resources, skills, and space they would be willing to share in the event we should have a community level disaster. After a disaster occurs, the North 40 will be there working to connect those in need of a resource, skill, or space – or any other need – to those who have matching resources to offer. The more community members we have registered and offering, the stronger we will be in helping each other get back on our feet and into livable homes in the wake of catastrophe.

In addition to connecting those in need with those offering, the North 40 will also be connected with local authorities and organizations which specialize in assisting rebuilding efforts. We will be able to help direct community members to the external resources that could be useful in rebuilding and healing. See the resources page for more information about community resources and organizations which could help.
